If you placed your security surveillance system at the ceiling on the different parts of your house or business establishment, get a ladder in order to reach it. On a daily basis, you can just use some lens cleanser and rug to use it. Of course, turn off the security equipments and disconnect it from electricity to avoid any accidents. Wipe away the external parts. Notice if there are any cuts on its wires. You can use water or special lens cleanser in order to clear the lens. This way you can use the camera on its full potential without any blurs. Avoid spraying water or cleanser on the other parts because it might enter the cable system which would lead to shocks.

Make sure that you dry the business surveillance systems with a clean dry rug. Make sure that you don't dislocate it that much or touch the arms such that the focus gets lost. Or you can detach it and return it to its previous spot. It really depends on you on how well you know the location of your camera and if you can return them to its original position. Some people are more comfortable detaching their security cameras from the ceiling than cleaning them while still attached.

While everyday cleaning is a must, you can also have a general check up of your security surveillance systems at least every month so you can check if their internal parts are still on good condition. This way, you can maximize their use and lengthen their life time. You can also be sure that it is in good condition or working properly. Some security cameras have loose wires already when left unchecked. After cleaning, don't forget to check it with your recording system to see if it is working properly and if it covers the position you want.
